The following table provides an overview of the meaning of these dates, depending on the content type, and the way to configure them.

  Last Publication Date Last Edition Date
Author-it

Corresponds to the day the document was last published in Fluid Topics.

Corresponds to the most recent modification date (<ModifiedDate> tag) found in the XML file of the Author-it export file.

DITA

Corresponds to the day the document was last published in Fluid Topics.

Corresponds to the @modified attribute defined in the DITA map:

<critdates>

<revised modified="2018-01-13">

</critdates>

If @modified is not defined, "last edition" value is the day the document was last published.

It is also possible to define the @modified attribute at the topic level. When the @modified attribute is already defined at the DITA map level, the topic inherits the value from the map. Any existing value at the topic level is overwritten.

FTML

Corresponds to the day the document was last published in Fluid Topics.

Takes ft:lastUpdate information from the ftmap.

Example:

<ft:metas>

<ft:meta key="ft:lastUpdate">2018-01-13</ft:meta>

</ft:metas>

If ft:lastUpdate is not defined or absent, "last edition" value is the day the document was last published.

Unstructured Documents

Corresponds to the day the document was last published in Fluid Topics.

Corresponds to the day the document was last published in Fluid Topics.

Note: Date format must be YYYY-MM-DD.
Note: All date-related metadata from Unstructured Documents are ignored by Fluid Topics.
Note: Reprocessing updates the last edition date. Reindexing does not modify dates.
Example: If a document was published for the first time on September 1st, 2017, its Last Publication Date remains September 1st, 2017, even if the document is reprocessed. Only when the document is removed from the portal and published again, the Last Publication Date is updated consequently.
