The FTML control file can be used to override the following information for an FTML map that was already processed:

To override the language and/or title of a FTML map that has already been processed in the Fluid Topics portal:

  1. Create a Control File.
  2. In the ft:originID attribute of the ft:khubItem element, use the identifier of the FTML map to be modified.
  3. Add the new @ft:editorialType and/or @ft:lang and/or @ft:title to the ft:khubItem element.
  4. Prepare an archive containing the control file.
  5. Upload the control file.

If the original FTML map already had those parameters, the ones entered in the control file will always take priority.

Except for the originId used to define the object that will be modified by the control file, all parameters set in the control file fully replace existing parameters.

To specify that the Hello World technical note, whose identifier is hello, should now be known as Bonjour le monde, and its language changed to fr-FR, upload the following control file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ft:controlFile xmlns:ft="http://ref.fluidtopics.com/v3/ft#">
<ft:khubItem type="map" ft:originID="hello" ft:lang="fr-FR" ft:title="Bonjour le monde"
