Target Audience

Web integrators can use secure REST APIs to access data about a Fluid Topics portal. The Fluid Topics server exposes the APIs while acting as a gateway to the portal's Knowledge Hub, user assets, user accounts, and more. After retrieving data, integrators can read it, dump it, or use it in other applications.

It is mandatory to use only public web services to access data about a portal. Public web services are the ones listed in this document. Antidot cannot be held responsible if using private web services damages a portal.

Use cases

By integrating Fluid Topics APIs, it is possible to use Fluid Topics to unify and harmonize a larger information system as in the following illustration:

Use case API integration

A second use case would be to integrate a Fluid Topics API to retrieve metrics about a portal, for example, the number of maps available in the Knowledge Hub.
