It might be necessary to create a new source, either to process a type of content that has no default source, or to distribute content over n sources for to make it easier to manage.

To create a source

  1. Click the Create button.

    The following New Source screen is displayed:

    Sources can be created directly in Fluid Topics

  2. Fill in the following fields:
    • ID: the identifier of the source. This information is used to specifically identify a source, regardless of its name or category. This field is mandatory. Once set, it cannot be modified.
    • Name: the name of the source. This field is optional.
    • Type: select from the menu the source type depending on your content. This field is mandatory. Once set, it cannot be modified.

      When selecting the Authorit type, a new button is displayed at the bottom of the source creation form to add a publication configuration file:

      For an Authorit source, a publication configuration fle is required

    • Category: the identifier of the source category. This field is optional. Adding a category ID creates the following metadata: ft:sourceCategorie
    • Description: the description of the source. This field is optional.
  3. Click OK to validate the source's creation.
