It is possible to enable or disable one or several filters or pipes without altering the paf.xml file. This feature can be very useful for development purposes, or for certain project specific needs.

For example, a PaF needs to build and deploy spellcheck databases only once a week, while the PaF is executed once a day.

The purpose of this Technical Note is to describe the two ways of disabling / enabling a filter or a pipe:

  • Disable all filters of a certain type,
  • Disable one or several specific filters or pipes.

Disabled filters are mentioned by a " This filter is disabled" tag in afs_paf_top and in DataFLow application of the Back Office.

Disabled pipes are mentioned by a " This pipe is disabled" tag in afs_paf_top and in DataFLow application of the Back Office.
