Types of expression combinations include:

  • A parenthesized expression is an expression between parentheses, for example (7).
  • A binary expression is an expression combining two expressions with one of the binary operators + (plus sign), - (minus sign), * (asterisk), / (slash), or , (comma), for example 3+4.
  • An unary expression is the combination of the unary operator with an expression, for example -(6+1).
