afs:pager gives access to reply pages surrounding the current page, when any. afs:pager is only available in the reply set when all the replies cannot fit in the current page, which means that there is at least another reply page.

afs:pager has the following attributes:

  • previousPage (optional) is available when set. The page before the current page can be obtained by setting afs:page to the value of this attribute. When unset, there is no previous page, which means that the current page is 1.
  • nextPage (optional) is available when set. The page after the current page can be obtained by setting afs:page to the value of this attribute. When unset, there is no next page, which means that the current page is the last page of the reply set.
  • currentPage (mandatory) holds the number of the page described in the reply set.

When the reply set contains other pages, afs:pager has a list of afs:page child element. It affords building a window of reachable pages surrounding the current page — usually the next nine pages for the first page, or the five pages before and after the current page in the middle of the reply set. Each afs:page element is of type integer, and holds the corresponding page number.
