Content Repository - AFS

AFS Integration Guide

Reference Guide

The Content Repository is the AFS v7 service (content) in charge of storing and giving access to the document units used to build the index base. It makes it possible to associate accurately the indexed documents and the search results.

The Content Repository also stores each documents layers created by the AFS-PaF process (examples: DocBook conversion, project specific layer such as cross reference indexes, RDF triples, etc.) Because the indexing documents are giving additional data, replies to the search engine client are more specific and relevant.

Through the Content Repository, both AFS standards layers (CONTENTS, etc.) and project-specific layers can be retrieved.

The Content Repository is queried through its REST web service interface. The reply feed is a binary stream containing the queried document layer — the caller can specify a mime type to use for the reply delivery.

Attached documents are stored as independent documents and have their own URI.
