To Create a Promote Campaign

  1. Log in into AFS Back Office.
  2. In the Dashboard screen for a selected service, click Promote available by rolling the mouse pointer over the service name.

  3. Once in the Promote application, use Create a Campaign button.
  4. Fill the following information in the dialog box:
    • Title of the Campaign (mandatory, but modifiable afterward)
    • Description of the campaign (optional, modifiable afterward, only used to categorize the campaign through the Back Office)
    • Tags (optional, modifiable afterward, only used to categorize the campaign through the Back Office)

  5. Clicking Validate button shows the Details Screen of the created Promote screen, with the following fields and actions.

  6. The Title of the campaign is always editable. It is used to find the campaign throw the BO.
  7. The Description of the Campaign is always editable. It is used to find the campaign through the BO.
  8. The Tags of the Campaign are always editable. They are used for filtering campaign list.
  9. The keywords of the campaign are the list of words that, if in the user query, trigger the replies.
  10. The language of the campaign makes it possible to generate a language facet. Usage example: localize the campaign.

  12. The Period of the campaign allows to choose a period during which the campaign is active (if enabled).
    • Leaving it empty results in a forever period.
    • Clicking the calendar button results in a calendar opening, allowing you to choose a date:

  13. The Replies of the campaign are the matching replies ...
    1. Once finished, click Modify to save changes, or Cancel to discard changes. In both cases you are prompted to confirm your answer.
  • Click Add a reply to unfold the following new fields:

    • Fill the Title, the Description, and the Link of the Reply. Title and Link fields are mandatory.
    • The key - value couple are used to add metadata to the reply. Example: key=image and value=/img/image.png
    • Click Create to save the reply, and Cancel to discard it.
  • When several replies are set, it is possible to sort them with drag and drop. It determines their appearance order if several are matched by the user query.

This step by step tutorial can be used to edit a Campaign. To start editing a campaign, click its title in the main screen of Promote application.
