he Query Manager status can be checked through the option: http://host/search?afs:check=querymanager

  • This web service is used to check if the Query Manager is running and ready to process queries.
  • The following HTTP return codes are available:
    • 200 (OK)
    • 404 (Not Found, Query Manager is stopped)
    • 503 (Service Unavailable, reply databases synchronization in progress)

The Query Manager status can be checked through the load-balancer check option: http://host/search?afs:check=probe

  • This web service is used to check if the Query Manager is running and ready to process queries.
  • The following HTTP return codes are available:
    • 200 (OK)
    • 404 (Not Found, Query Manager is stopped)
    • 503 (Service Unavailable, reply databases synchronization in progress)
  • The reply set is lighter than using afs:check=querymanager, which is suitable for load balancing.

The Query Manager is a regular Unix daemon. It can be queried about its current state through the daemon command status:

As root user

systemctl status afs-querymanager.service
