Fluid Topics creates a new document each time you send new content, using the file path and name.

Fluid Topics replaces an existing document if you send content that was already sent previously. Which means that:

  • If you send this content {a/b/map.xml} with version 1 in the XML metadata element, the new map appears, and displays version 1. There will be one map on the portal.
  • If you send again the same content {a/b/map.xml}, but this time with version 2 in the XML metadata element, it replaces the previous map, and the map displays version 2. Still, there will be one map on the portal.
  • If you send new content {a/c/map.xml} with version 2 in the XML metadata element, a new map appears, and displays version 2. There will be two maps on the portal.
Note: The metadata assigned to a DITA file apply to the content of the file, but not the file itself.
