The daemon configuration follows the systemd standard.

One way of setting the environment variables is to edit the configuration file of the daemon.

  1. Open the configuration file of the daemon.

    Example to configure logs for the Query Manager:

    /etc/systemd/system/afs-querymanager.service.d/env.conf

  2. Add the following command, e.g., to set or modify the log level and get more details in the log file:

    AFS7_LOG_LEVEL=5

  3. Restart the daemon.

    Example to restart the Query Manager daemon:

    systemctl restart afs-querymanager.service
